USB v2.0 to 1x5 pin Male Motherboard Header Connector Cable

This USB motherboard header connector cable/adapter connects a USB female port to USB devices with a female motherboard header connector. Ideal for attaching devices when no further motherboard header connectors are available.

The 1 foot cable length allows the cable to exit through the PCI opening and plug into one of the USB ports located at the back of the PC.

You can also connect this cable to the internal port (USB type A female) of PCI USB card.

The mobo header cable is compatible with both USB 1.1 (standard) and USB 2.0 (high-speed).

Where the header connector has a 9 pin configuration (two rows of 5 with one pin blanked off), the connector will fit on the 5 pin side. This is common with internal card readers with a USB port. In this case both the 5 pin and 4 pin sides may need to be connected separately by two motherboard header cables. The 5th pin, which is a grounding pin, will need to be removed in order to connect to the 4 pin side. The grounding pin should not be required in this case as the internal device should be grounded to the computer chassis.
